In 2012, when our founder and co-CEO, Louis Rogers, partnered with colleagues he respected from prior firms, together, they seized their combined expertise across multiple fields to develop a new “investors-first” business model. Shaped by steadfast integrity and entrepreneurial gumption, Capital Square began as a Section 1031/DST sponsor but has since grown to be a diversified real estate manager, operator and developer. Although Delaware statutory trusts (DSTs) remain the foundation of our business, we are rapidly diversifying with numerous development projects, qualified opportunity zone funds, a real estate investment trust (REIT) and an institutional fund.
From the beginning, Capital Square has reinvested most of its profits into the business. This has accelerated our growth to $7.2 billion in assets under management (AUM) and driven our success as the nation’s third largest DST sponsor. Since 2017, Capital Square has been recognized by Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest growing companies in the nation for six consecutive years. In 2017, 2018 and 2020, the company was also ranked on Richmond BizSense’s list of fastest growing companies. Additionally, Capital Square was listed by Virginia Business on their “Best Places to Work in Virginia” report in 2019 and their “Fantastic 50” reports in 2019 and 2020.”
